鴛鴦火鍋
Mala fire on one side, gentle white broth on the other — bubbling together at your table.
Welcome home — warm, hearty Chinese cooking in Nakano.
Ouka was opened by a warm Northeastern-Chinese family who missed the food they grew up with — so they cooked it for their Nakano neighbours. Our Chinese chefs still hand-fold dumplings every morning and stir wok after wok of authentic Sichuan classics.
Over 100 traditional dishes on the menu — pull up a chair, bring the kids, bring your appetite. There is always room at the table.
Straight from the family table — a few of the dishes our regulars never leave without.
Mala fire on one side, gentle white broth on the other — bubbling together at your table.
Crackling golden bottoms, a juicy filling, folded by hand every morning.
Cool poached chicken under glossy chili oil — bright, numbing, impossible to stop.
Crisp pork in a glossy lacquer of fragrant Zhenjiang black vinegar.
Smoky cumin, dried chilies and tender lamb — a night-market favourite.
Silky tofu, minced pork, doubanjiang and Sichuan pepper — comforting, tingling, deeply Sichuan.
…and ninety-odd more on the menu. Take your time.
Birthdays, work parties, family reunions, year-end feasts — private banquets for up to 50 guests. Tell us what you are celebrating and we will set the table.
Step in from the Nakano evening and the room glows red — paper lanterns swaying overhead, woks roaring in the back, the smell of cumin and chili and steam. It is small. It is warm. It feels like someone’s living room. That is the point.
Come in, sit down.
